Its the Loksabha polls time!!!And this yr joins another new voter..Tats me!!!Wen i was a kid my friends and i we will be talking as though we are the ministers of the nation..Now wen i am of the age to talk abt it..am simply not interested!!
It started with the ruling party first!!!Then comes no 2..then 3...it just goes on!!Wow and this is the most pleasant feature of this summer..No power cuts..Lesser bus fares..IT would be really good if the election comission decides to conduct elections for a whole yr for the common man :-)
And election is extra masala in Madurai due to powerful candidates playing the tug of war..The tactics tat ppl are using to attain power is real gross..IT SUCKS!!Only money and muscle power speaks!!Vetu kuthu here and there..Saree distribution..Rampant Bribery(ITs more than 1000 they give per house hold.Where do those guys get so much money??)!!We are eye witness to it..Watever we cant blame any party..Coz all are equally bad...So wat to do???
Suds, don't be so uninterested. Some things can never be straight. Politics is one. Atleast cast your reluctant vote to the person you think is a bit sensible. Because your idea, not to vote may help the wrong candidate to win. Moreover voting promotes good candidates to stand.

ReplyDeleteWe hv 2 choose the least bad one from those bad party's. That we had studied in our social science (civics)itself na. Thts it no other way to go :-)
:-)..ya u r rite..and rite now if all are bad we can make ppl aware of the section 49 o according to which we can tell tat none of the candidates are worth contesting...If the no.of votes under this section is more then all candidates have to return their deposit..:-)

ReplyDeletebribes for a vote - not only 1000/- . even upto 5000 - 10000/- (around thirumanglam areas, i heard it). And as Ramya said, Some things can never be straight. If u r not willing to vote, then u r also a one who are allowing them to cross. Its true, it happened even this election also, a grp of white ppl gone to the poll both voted for the candidate who were absence(not taken their own rights, thats wat i would cal). means providing their(your) rights/power to someone who needs to misuse.
