Bye Bye 2010!!

So this yr has come to an end..From blogging point of view statistically the number of articles have come down..30 in 2010 from 47 in 2009..Any how am keeping up the tempo rite..Tats gud news..


At coll we rounded off the yr with fun at the beach..List of chettais all successfully done rite frm mass bunk to getting chided by police patrol and a big fight at the baji shop.. :-)
Ready for greater adventure in 2011..

Battling the cold

Its darn cold here.In Rajastan and Haryana its minus 4 degree..Che is not tat bad but wishing tat we have room heaters in Che just like North America or Europe..Atleast a hot water bottle..Ironically cold is considered to be good..It told so in religion too..Christmas-the season of happiness is when the temperature dips to the lowest.Also for the Hindus this is the auspicious month of Margazhi and those who are religious get up as early as 3:30. Even now in Che there are orthodox people who get up tat early and sing in the streets the praises of the lord..

Yaar ena panaalum sari..I prefer curling up tight in my bed til the bell rings in my head to get ready to coll..I prefer sipping the hot coffee tat my room mate makes..I frequent tat canteen which serves previous day sambar for that hot pongal..I would love hanging a Christmas star home though i will be snuggled and fast asleep on Christmas eve..Filled with the warmth and love of friends in this cold season..Sipping a cup of hot water and signing off..SudhA :)

Slice of life - 2

This week end i went on a flying visit to my native to c a frnd of mine.. The visit was not much eventual but the travel was.. A meet with an interesting kid in the up journey and a bus breakdown in the down journey..The moment i saw the kid i knew that he is going to make news at this column..


He is a typical Y generation kid i guess..If kids grow up like him then grown ups are gonna have a tuf time managing them.. Initially "He" was throwing sidelong glances at me which was making me giggle..One punch dialogue is something that i cant forget..Wen i used to c him he would cover his face or turn his back..Getting fed up with this chinna pillathanamaana game i didnt mind him for a while..Then he came near me and spoke out loud.."Ivanga thoonguraangala alla paakuraangala?" with a cheeky grin..This was too much for me..So i told "Come little fellow we can talk"..And wat al he talked!!!

He :"Neenga Ratha Sarithuran paathuteengala? Endhiran epa paatheenga?Naan seventh day ae paathutaen..Ungaluku own house a ala rent a? Enga thangirukeenga ? Veedu katta evalavu aachu? Enga chithappa veetla 2 lakhs ku tv , 75000 ku fridge , 25000 ku fish tank irukku..Enga appa mobile evalavu theriyuma? 40,000 (Told with stress) Enga amma mobile 25000 thaan..Naan ungata oru secret solluraen..Naan Maths la kota vitutaen..Yaarukum theriyaathu..En frnds....bla bla bla.. Naanum en frndum senthu kotavitom.. Naanga intha game veladuvom( with a pretty accurate and vivid description of the game)..."

All this from a fourth std kid who sounded more materialistic than most grown ups i have met..Now i realize the import of the oft repeated statement "Kids take up wat adults do and talk"..This innocence this brilliance of childhood..Please dont go away!!!

Blogging Resolution for 2011

I was initially toying up with the idea of having a regular column one for each day of the week..But have to admit that such stuff does not work out with me..Writing inspiration is something tat gotto be spontaneous..So right now have decided not to care abt my IndiBlogger rank..(Am the fox which told that the grapes are sour!!!)..and tra la..will continue in my own random mad way..New year is round the corner and am excitedly taking stock of this yr..Just as hoped for 2010 was much much better than 2009..Coll life at Anna univ has been simply gr8!!Yeah there were a few experiences tat were not so good..But they have made me a better person and am really grateful for them..So wat plans of blogging next yr??Easy..Be myself!!! Try to frequent as often as possible but no suicidal idea like regular columns..May be after a period of time with due practice may be i can implement this idea as 2012 resolution..This proj is shelved for now..

* It is raining dogs here and the streets are flooded.My living room is a pretty scene with colourful clothes let to dry under the fan..Hoping so much that strict examiner cant make to coll for tomo's review..
* People at canteen have stopped making Idli's as more sambar is getting consumed..It's so silly..Then can at least try increasing the price by 50 p to balance..Watsoever so the next time i have idli will only be at Murugan idli shop..

* One gr8 similarity tat i noticed in Anna univ and IIT is tat in both the campus the situation of the dogs are pathetic!!!
*Its steadily raining here again..Tats bad omen..heralding review on tuesday and madame sudha is gng to press the panic button and rush her wrk to show something passable!!!

This column is for random interesting happenings around..
Today's news..State level sports meet for the differently abled took place in the campus grounds..Participants were from St Joseph Madurai,Louis School for Blind,Adayar.
I could see a gang of deaf kids animatedly talking in their sign language..A girl in crutches leading a blind kid..It was a completely diff atmosphere..I could not have the opportunity of lingering longer in tat scene..But these random snapshots have left indelible marks in the corners of my mind..

She :Exams over??
Me :Yeah,,But thesis..review..Blah Blah..Stress..blah blah..
She :(Checking BP)Hmm many reasons..Blah Blah..
Me :(Half scared..Faltering voice)Ok..
She :U can have injection..
Me :Wat???@@!!
She :Ok..Take these tabs..Take 1 1/2 tab..Thrice a day..
Me :(Read prescription)Calpal..Oh..Ithukuthaana??
She :Wen feeling better come Back to me..
Me :Ok ok!!(I could have got the same in the dispensary!)

Chappa vishayathuku over scene na ithuthaan..Hmmm and i took a full meals at canteen and no tabs..Now perfectly fine...
